SOURCE: where is the fuel filter in 2002 ford explorers

The fuel filter is on the passenger side under the door near the front wheel well. It is behind a curved shield and a flat plate covering the fuel filter that is marked "fuel filter replace".
There is an aluminum plate held on with 3 13mm bolts. Remove it. Behind it there is a black plastic shield, held on with 2 10mm nuts. Remove that and you will see the fuel filter, and the bracket that holds it on.

There is a fuel pump cutoff reset button (and a relay) it is located under the instrument panel at the right (passenger) hand cowl side "kick" side panel, press the button and when you hear a click it is reset.

2002 Ford Explorer ran out of gas put gas in and won't restart. replaced fuel pump and fuel filter still won't start. Cranks but won't start

Most Fords have a fuel reset button. When you ran out of gas you tripped the circuit. Most of the time the button will be on the passenger side by the kick panel. The exact location should be in your owners manual or your local library or auto parts store will have a copy of one for your specific vehicle.

My ford explorer 2001 wont start engine is turning or it cranks battery is good but looks like there is no fuel supply ( I hope it's not the fuel pump) can you give me any other...

There is a reset button around the passengers kickpanel. There may be an access hole or you may have to pop it loose. A switch has a red or white button and you press and hold it down for a few seconds. Then try to start your SUV.

If it starts, the button you pushed was a safety switch. It is suppose to trip on Impact and is called an Inertia switch.

Wont start will crank but wont start

TWO THINGS..CHECK THE FUEL INERTIA SWITCH LOCATED IN TRUNK ON LEFT SIDE .ITS A LITTLE BUTTON .PRESS THAT IF IT CLICKS THEN IT HAD TO BE RESET..ALSO LOOK AT THE LIGHT ON THE DASH THAT BLINKS WHEN THE KEY IS OFF..IF YOU TRY TO START THE CAR AND THAT LIGHT IS BLINKING FAST THEN YOU HAVE A BAD KEY..AND IT WILL NEED TO BE REPROGRAMMED AT THE DEALERSHIP USUALLY..THOUGH SOME LOCKSMITHS CAN PROGRAAM KEYS...
