What is the cause of ford bantam rocam to mix oil and water

More details would have been helpful but I assume you mean you are either finding oil floating on the coolant or the engine oil level is rising due to coolant finding a way into the oil pan?

A failing cylinder head gasket is the most common cause but a cracked cylinder head or block is a possibility and in some cases a cracked intake manifold or failing gasket can be responsible.

Engines of the wet-liner design a failed liner seal can fill the oil pan with coolant without causing oil in the cooling system.

It isn't unknown for the inexperienced to actually top up a coolant level with engine oil.

I have a 2009 passat cba engine 2 ltr oil level rises in 3 hours fuel not a tandem vacuum pump and it runs a treat no smoke until oil level rises high starts first time every time no misfire

Do you smell gasoline in the oil? If you do the diaphragm in the engine transfer pump is leaking. You have to determine why the oil level is rising in order to find the cause.

Trying to add transmission fluid to my car cannot locate where to put it.

if you have checked the transmission fluid then you add the fluid where the dipstick is by removing the dipstick and adding oil to the tube and then check the should be between the full and add mark as when the car gets to operating temperature it will rise.

How to add transmission fluid to 1992 325i BMW? I once read about this car having 2 pans. Can not find where the article is now. There is a ATF cap to the drivers side but it is a very short stick. One guy...

Why do you want to add it? Wipe the dipstick on clean white paper towel or cloth. If there are no leaks and the colour is still fairly bright it should be ok. If there are no leaks and the transmission is slipping it needs to go to a dealer or tranny shop.

Car overheated once. added more coolant. Now coolant level goes down gradually from time to time, but engine oil seems to be rising. no coolant on the ground that I can tell. whats the problem?

have you noticed some coolant in your engine oil? it will make some bubbles/foam in your oil. If so, the engine head might be cracked and your coolant is mixing with your engine oil. That would explain the reason why your coolant goes down and your oil level goes up.

I am traveling and my oil was at 10%. It is saturday night and nothing is open but still have 1.5 hours to travel. I stopped and added 2 qts of oil but the gauge now reads 0 and -11 miles- I thought...

I hope you added oil only after checking the oil level. Is the oil percentage not for oil life? You can drive to your destination without any problems as long as you have the proper amount of oil in engine.

I have a 1987 pointiac Fiero. It has the 2.5L 4

if you've added the oil and started the car and the oil level is at the add mark with the engine off, allowing a minute or so for the oil to drain back down to the oil pan, add 1 more quart

I am adding coolant to my car every day and keeps running dry. i have not seen anything leaking underneath the car. where is the coolant going?

in the motor, or burning in combustion chamber, see if oil level is rising or if excessive water or white smoke out of exhaust,
