I have never done work on this specific car but I have run into an Acura where the alternator is actually on adjustable bolt holes so it doubles as the tensioner. You can give that a look and see if that helps. Sorry if its not, but I have seen that on some other imports.

Serpentine belt Ford 350 how to replace without AC how to put on the Belt

Dear Steve,
You have not mentioned the year, make, or model of the vehicle, but I am guessing you wish to install a serpentine belt on a Ford motor product that had a AC compressor, and you wish to put on a belt bypassing that compressor.
Well, maybe so, maybe no.
I have tried this many times.
Sometimes it works, sometimes not.
You problem will be in the routing and the clearances.
You will need to have the belt run or operate all the accessories and equipment except the AC.
If you will take a piece of rope or tape, and try to stretch that into the position of the future belt, you may see quickly whether the new shorter belt will "hit" a problem, or even if it will be too close to an item (such as the AC compressor) to be installed.
God bless your efforts.

Hi I need to replace the serpentine belt on Hyundai tucson (2004) the problem is the air con pulls seems to have siezed, can I get a smaller belt as I don't really need air con in scotland. Cheers

my autodata belt book shows 18 hyundai belt set ups 1992 to2012 and only one that runs a special belt for the ac
for all the rest the ac pulley is required as the belt runs around it to drive power steering, alternator , water pump
test the ac pulley by removing the belt( after drawing a diagram of how it runs ) and trying to spin the pulley
if it is as you say have a mobile mechanic/ ac mechanic come and remove the pulley and replace the bearing ( about 1 1/2 hour and $20.00 for the bearing
if the pulley spins then disconnect the wire to the compressor so that the clutch is not engaged for the compressor

My audi a5 wont run it starts and cuts out since i fitted a new serpentine belt

How long does it run? Sure you only changed the serpentine belt? The car would actual even run without the serpentine (or also called accessory belt) since the belt only drives fairly non essential components (AC compressor, alternator, fan, power steering pump. etc).

Can i drive my 2003 accent without a ac compressor belt

You can if you don't have a serpentine belt/ 1 belt. But more than likely it does.

01 mustang convertable i changed the ac compressor now what?

need to evacuate the system check the orifice tube put back together and re-vacuum system to remove the air from the system.
it's cycling to fast which means air in the system.

any air left in the system will counter any refrigerant in the system.

1990 Ford Crown Vic Serpentine Belt Problem

Sounds like someone rigged this when replacing the belt previously. The 'old school' way would be to unbolt the compressor to slide on the belt.

Need instructions on removing hyundai santa fe 01 fan belt ac

its your serpentine belt (thats what its called) and you will need a 3/8 ratchet and then find the belt tensioner. The tensioner has a spot where you need to put the ratchet into and pull or push depending on whatever way and that will releive the pressure off the belt so you can take it off.

I HEAR A LOUD WHINNING NOISE FROM UNDER THE HOOD

Yes there is a bearing in the AC clutch assembly, and the bearing can be changed with out swapping out for a whole new AC compressor unit or even taking the unit out.
The other thing to you may want to check is the Serpentine belt tensioner. The tensioner then to break apart and or when the clutch activate put's more pressure on the system and the idler pully bearing could alsy be the problem.
Spray some water on the fan belt whale the engine is running and see if the noise goes away and comes back as the water dry's. If the noise goes away then it's just a worn belt and need to be changed or you may want to do the quick fix and buy Fan belt dressing.
Good luck and hope this helps
