Replace head light lamp - 2003 Ford Expedition

Open the hood and look on top of the headlamp assembly for two 3/8 inch bolts. Remove both of them. Between the two (look in the hole) is another 3/8 inch bolt; it's very long, as it screws into the bottom of the assembly. Remove that one too. Slide the entire assembly forward. Remove the round rubber stopper from behind the assembly to expose the lamp. Rotate the lamp slightly and remove it. Carefully lift the retaining clips and slide the lamp off the plug. Be careful not to touch the glass on the replacement lamp; oil from your skin can cause the lamp to fail. Slide the new lamp onto the plug until it clicks, then put everything back in reverse order. The bolts are 10mm and the lamps rotate downward

Replaced headlight switch on 1995 dodge ram 1500 now running lights, dashlights not working.head lights are fine now

Usually there is a circuit breaker in head lamp switch, that is for headlamps only. The other lamps are fuse protected, check for voltage to and from those fuses. Hopefully the diagram is large enough to read. I believe that diagram is for tail lamps. The black wire is ground for tail lamps, the other wire is voltage. I see two fuses in diagram.

I experienced a recent front end collision. After replacing the right head lamp assembly the lamp is very dim when on. I switched out lamps - connected right (dim) lamp with the left and it lights...

Sounds like a bad Earth connection. Check for a poor/loose Earth wire bolt inside the engine bay near the head lights. Also check any of the plastic block connectors in the wiring loom for the head lights. Sometimes the metal spade connections are not secured properly within the plastic block and can be pushed back when the plastic blocks are joined together.

Head lamp keeps burning out. replaced head lamp at

You either have a bad ground or the bad electrical connection at the light socket is "simulating" a bad ground. This is putting a high resistance on the bulb and it's taking it's toll by burning out the bulb. I would start with a new socket, and CHECK the ground. If you still have the issue, I would run another complete ground wire and not even worry about checking the ground itself. the Stick
