Trying To replace cooling fan on a 1993 dodge caravan

Man oh man, if you could give us some tips on this one you might save a marriage. The van overheats whenever you run the a/c, or sit at an idol too long. DH has picked up a newcooling fan and is trying to figure out how to get the fan shroud, etc off. The kids are hearing words they've never heard before, can you help?

What causes an engine to get hot

Yes a restricted converter can cause an engine to over heat because it can't breath correctly so it make the engine work harder . Cooling fans not working is one of the most common causes for 93 to 95 dodge caravans over heating . their is a cooling fan control mddule located on the inside of the frame rail next to the radiator on the drivers side of the van that goes bad very often . Thermostat sticking is another fault that can cause over heating

Can i still drive my dodge caravan without a thermostat in it

Late night scanning the freebees,. exhausted - from work - suppose that's a good thing... but here you are as this is important stuff..
yes,. be careful as the thermostat acts as a buffer...
needs to hold back the flow then release to cool the engine...
you may not get heat tot he interior of the car
you may need to use the interior of the car heater as the buffer with the fan control,. etc.,.

get that stuff fixed man,. thermostat is easy to replace and only a few bucks..
If you need help finding tools,. or the know how to do,. give us a shout,. I'll be back after the next three 14 hour dayzzzzzzzzzzzzz..
Best regards
Ck

Try changing out the thermostat. Sometimes they will not open all the way and it will cause the vehicle to overheat and not start.
