The code means that the computer doesnt (see) the heater cicurit in the primary ( the one in the exhaust manifold ) Oxagen senser. The senser is likly bad bu the connector or the power fuse can also be the problem. Oxagen senser cables get against the exhaust or pinced behind the altenator. The sensr can be tested by just unplugging the connector and testing to see if the two white ( or black ) wires have connectiontoeach other. With the key on the wire harnesssideof the connecter should show battery voltage ( light a test light). If the OHM meter doesn't show a connection You'll have to change the senser.

This sounds like the engine is not idling correctly or may have a misfire . first make sure check engine light is not on and then have it scanned for any codes, the thing you need to do is when it starts to **** put it in neutral and watch to see if engine idle is reving up and down, let me know. good day

Code po135

Id check the Oxygen sensors performance. (There is more than one usually) Have the Catalytic Converter inspected at the same time. Most basic warranty period from the manufacturer is 10 years or, 100,000 miles. (Cat. Converter only)

How to get the engine codes on a 1997 Honda accord?

Easiest thing is to go to Autozone as they have a hand held scanner that they'll pull codes for FREE!!! Yep, it's a great service. The most common type of codes are for catalytic converter (low flow catalyst) or even more commonly the oxygen sensor.

For this car the OBD plug may be behind the ashtray. This will need to be pulled out to access the plug.

Some times even just clearing the code will be helpful. When the scanner is connected, ask the Autozone tech to clear the codes for you. See if it comes back. Some times the computers get a little tempermental and flip on a light and they don't come back on. It's worth a shot. If it comes back on then you may need a repair.
Also, has your engine been maintained, ie-tuneups? Poor plaugs SOMETIMES MAY cause the check engine light to come on.

I have s 1997 Honda accord that has the check engine light on. Had the codes read and it says there is a misfire in two of the cylinders. I replace plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. Stills has the problem. Not...

did you have the cods cleared ever ? or is it a misfire you can feel when the motor is on, if this is the case check the fuel injectors in those cylinders, this will toss a misfire code also

I have a 1997 honda accord lx 6 cylinder 24 valve engine that the check engine light is on and the D4 light was blinking yellow and then now is blinking green. what could be the problem?

The check engine light comes on if there is an issue. But Honda also has preset the Check engine light to come on to remind you of oil changes. If you want to shut the Check engine light off. There is a Yellow Reset Button inside the Fuse panel.

1997 honda accord ex for 9 years , check engine light came on

The first thing to check is if the fuel cap is on tight. If it was loose, just tighen it up and drive it, it will go off on its own. If it was tight, then you will need a shop to read the Trouble Code and they will need to diagnose it from there. Find a shop that does Honda work, keep away from any chain stores.

Check engine light on, 1997 cadillac Deville.PCM codes

PO135 is oxygen sensor Bank1 sensor1. PO404 is EGR.
personally, I'd pull EGR off, clean pintle good with throttle body cleaner or carb cleaner, re-install, erase codes & try it for a while & see if it code(s) come back.
