as of yet no body has told me how to remove the storage opening below the radio. there are no slots for hooks, just pulling on it does not work, as i tried that before my first question. i have also had several other people try to remove it. nothing so far has worked. there is no dealer within two hours from here.

there is some thing holding the box below the radio. This is a radio with a cd player on the top. I see no place for the clips you mention. As I have stated I tried to just pull it out

Hi,
You need a special tool # 19241 to unclip the retaining clips in the side of the unit, this is so that it can slide out from the cradle, this is for the CD unit but for the radio on top it is just the case of the removing the 4 mounting screws under the bezel, and then pull to expose the wiring connector and the antenna in the rear. It maybe just stuck on the cradle somewhere, but a good pull should see it come out. Let me know if you need more information.
Thanks
Jason

You need a trim stick to remove the clips holding this is place # C-4755.
This will dislocate the centre bezel clips and then you can remove it.

Hi. You will need two hooks that will fit into the small slots on the bottom of your radio. You will stick them in until they lock into place and release what is holding the radio. Then you can pull it out with those tools. Ask your local Sprinter dealer to see if they have those in the shop.

If there are no slots for hooks then you can do this also. Just pull on the panel around the radio, it has clips that just pull free. underneath you'll see 4 screws on each corner of the radio. remove these and pull the radio out

How do you remove stock radio in 1998 nissan pathfinder?

Nissan is not real good at providing instructions for radio replacement. The only instructions in the service manual are for complete removal of the entire dash assembly. From what I can see from the illustrations, (as well as my personal experience with Nissans) there should be a couple of screws at the lower end of the center finish panel. (the part that goes around the radio and A/C - heater controls) After the screws are removed, pull out on the lower end of the panel and the rest of it should simply "snap" out of the dash panel. It is held in with clips. Once the center finish panel is removed you will see the screws that secure the radio.

How do i take the radio out of my 98 xk8

Hi

1. Remove the black trim panel holding the cruise control and sport mode buttons from around the shifter. There are 4 clips holding the panel on: upper left, lower left upper right and lower right. Be careful, they break easily. Remove the wires from the buttons.
2. There are two brackets holding the wood panel down, one on each side of the shifter. Remove the two screws holding down each bracket. Be sure you note the orientation of the brackets - it will make reinstallation easier. Lift off the wood trim panel.
3. Under the wood trim you just removed, there are four bolts fastening the console to the car. Remove them.
4. Open the console lid. Remove the two screws fastening the latch strike plate. Again, make note of the positioning of the latch plate for reinstallation
5. Remove any other screws retaining the console compartment. Lift out the compartment liner. Close the console lid.
6. At the rear of the console is a trim cover. It is held by two tension clips. Just pull it off.
7. There are two bolts under the rear trim cover - remove them.
8. Remove the console.
9. Remove the screws holding the radio in the dashboard and pull the radio forward.
10. Remove the antenna wire and wiring harness connectors from the back of the radio.
11. Unbolt the ground wire from the back of the radio.

Reinstall in reverse order.

How do you remove the stock radio from a 2007 accent hatchback

First, you have to remove the bezel that surrounds the radio. You have to find something thin and sturdy to slide in behind the bezel to carefully pry it away from the dash assembly. Something along the lines of a plastic spackling knife will prevent scratching the dash. There are no screws, only clips holding that bezel in place.

Once you remove the bezel, you will see four screws holding the stock radio in place. Remove those, then slide the radio out.

You will need to unplug the wiring and antenna from the rear of the unit for complete removal.

This is not hard but tricky because the trim plate around the radio has clips that hold the trim plate very tight.Use a plastic type flat tool or flat screw driver wraped with tape or a shop rag to avoid damage to the plastic trim and pry the trim panel around the radio loose. remove all elec connectors. Then remove the screws that hold the radio in place and remove all elec connectors.

How do you remove a radio from a 2007 Tuscson city

Don't know the 'City' model... but if it's anything like the REGULAR Tucson, remove the shifter knob (remove access place to two phillips screws - remove screws). Remove shifter knob. Pop out shifter cover plate (snaps in and out). Remove approx 6 phillips head screws holding the metal plate above the shifter pedistal. Pop out the cosmetic cover around the radio, AC control panel and vents (wire harness connectors to digital clock, fog lamps and emergency flashers (and pass airbag light). You now have access to the phillips screws securing the audio/radio unit.

Changing out the radio on 1996 buck century

Remove the hex screws from the lower section of the dash, under the steering column. This will reveal more screws that hold the wood tone panel down. There are more screws visible just under the top of the dash, look carefully as the upper screws, so you do not remove more than you need. Carefully, twist the woodtone panel around the steering column and remove. You will see 2 more hex screws to the right of the radio that hold the black plastic cover just to right of the radio. Carefully pop that cover off to reveal 2 more screws that hold the radio in place. Remove those 2 and the 2 on the left and you can pull the radio forward to unhook the harness and antenna wires.

Remove the trim around the shifter, then remove the center console. You will then have access to the screws holding the trim around the radio in. Once you are to that point, take the radio screws out and pull out the radio.
