SOURCE: What does the message "Preventative

It means the car is nearly due for a scheduled service (intervals are first service at 1500km, then at 15,000km intervals). Normally the warning comes on 500km before the service is due - the distance can be changed by the dealer on request.

SOURCE: 2004 mitsubishi outlander cooling fans not operating

TAKE A PEEK UNDER THE HOOD IN THE FUSE PANEL FOR THE FUSE AND RELAY FOR THE COOLING FAN. IF THE FUSE IS BLOWN THEN REPLACE IT. IF YOU SUSPECT THE RELAY TO BE BAD THEN TEST IT BY SWAPPING THE FAN RELAY WITH ANOTHER ONE WITH THE SAME PINS ON THE BOTTOM. MAKE SURE IT IS THE SAME SIZE AS WELL. HOPE THIS HELPS.. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANKS FOR AN HONEST RATING AND FOR USING FIX-YA. GOOD LUCK

Dear Brake Drum Remover,
I'm gonna tell you how to pull this drum off, ya ready?First off, get the rear of the vehicle up in the air safely, Then pull the rear tires off. After those are off then take a gander at the face of the drums, are there shiny brass looking screws installed on the face of that drum?Ifso remove those counterclockwise, then, take a hammer a shock the face off the drum firmly about three times. Now, go to the opposite side on the face of the drum and do that again, keep on doin that until you can wiggle the drum off by hand...easy as that, any other questions get back to me. I'M HERE TO HELP!!!

SOURCE: how do I turn out the check engine soon light on Mitsubishi outla

Hello. The check engine light comes on when the vehicle's computer has detected a problem with one of the components in one of the systems. To find out what exactly that check engine light means you have to hook the vehicle up to a computer scanner. Many auto parts stores now offer this scan for free, as do the AAMCO repair shops. After the scan is finished, the scanner will turn out the check engine light. Some vehicles check engine light also turns off if the battery is disconnected for two full minutes. Regards, Joe

i checked into your problem and it seems to be that the problem is in the transmission and the controllers are going against each other and shorting out so the best thing to do is to see a transmission shop for repairs

Oxygen sensor problem on mitsubishi outlander 2004

If the car has a check engine light on you may want to have the code checked, as this may point you in a direction as to what is causing this issue.

It could also be a bad EGR valve if the vehicle surges.

Hope this helps you out,

What does the engine service light mean?

It could be unrelated to the oil change unless the filter must be replaced with a mitsubishi one due to the backflow prevention valve built into it.

Have the codes read at autozone and see what they say.

The first thing you should do is have the codes read. Most auto parts stores and many repair shops will do this for free. After you have them read you can post them back here and I can help you figure out what might be going on.
