Check your spark plugs and wires. Ensure they are all correct coming off of the distributor cap. You may wanna even change them (plugs, wires, and cap) just to make sure they are all in good working condition and you put them all on in the correct placement/order.

flashing light means a severe missfire and emminent cat converter failure.
in other words it has a bad missfire

2004 Dodge Intrepid Check Engine Light & Bad Fuel Mileage

If it has never had plugs changed, i would suggest it. It can make a big difference.

Labor time is .8 hrs + 6 plugs = $80 - $150.

Take your car to a parts place and they will usually check and clear your light for free.

Firestone likes to up-sell everything, $650 is way too much for a basic tune up.

Parked my Intrepid for 5 days and now won't run (was ok before).

Does the engine turn over ? if not then check your battery/charging system....and check for anything that my have been left on or you may have some kind of a draw . if it does turn over then check for fuel pump activity by putting a hose down the filler neck and have someone turn the key to start...if you don't hear the buzzing noise of the pump turning then odds are it's your pump ...I hope this helps ...I can help you better if you describe exactly what the car is the check engine light on ? how well did it run before ? will it start up at all?

Maintaince at 100,000 miles on dodge car

I have my manual for my 98, let me know what engine & I'll give you what Chrysler recommends. Driving habits & conditions make a difference too. Normal is schedule A, severe is schedule B. Severe as in lots of stop & go, cold temperatures, short trips, dusty roads etc.
