Best thing to to is get it converted to use the new the new r134 refrigerant. most good garages can do this for you. unless you have a can of the old r12 around

Look under the air cleaner box,or it will be near the fire wall on passengers side .Look for the large ac line coming from the ac compressor, and follow it towards the firewall,it will be there,Rate this please if it was at all helpful, thank you.

I want to recharge the air conditioner on a 1992 crown vic

find your evaporator inlet outlet lines on the fire wall usually near heater core inlet outlet lines. then follow both lines until you find the one that goes to the compressor. that is your low side and the port should be on there

AC not cool

Check the a/c lines entering the firewall. Large hose should be cold and small line warm-hot.If o/k, may have vacumm leak to underdash control. If vacumm is lost the system will revert to heat and defrost. Could also be the air blend door is stuck. Maybe something dropped down defrost vent on dash. If this helps Please rate
