There will be 4. 1 in each exhaust manifold, 1 prior to the catalytic conveter and 1 after. What kind of issue are you having?

What does scan code P0037 mean I have a 2003 jaguar s type r and want to get the engine light to turn off so I can get it smogged for the registration. It is now expired, California sucks!

P0037 is defined as "Oxygen Sensor Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank 1 Sensor 2) in OBD II fault code. Codes are generally same regardless of make or model.
Sensor 2 typically refers to the sensor that is located after the catalytic converter(s).
Some causes of this fault code are:
  • Burnt wiring - wires from sensor that are runs too close to hot exhaust components
  • Internal Short circuits
  • Bad connections caused by road debris

Check engine light on, 0430 code

This code is not uncommon with the X-Type, a dealer will recommend replacing the Cat. very expensive. get a 1" spark plug extender and drill a 1/2 hole through it and screw it into the lower O2 sensor hole for bank 2 (rear of the engine) and then screw the O2 sensor into it, reset the code and you should be all set.

Ihave a 2003 Jaguar S-Type, What do PO133, PO153 and P1000 codes mean? Afriend said oxygen sensors; how to change the oxygen sensor for a 2003 Jaguar S-Type?

You might check this site out for Jag codes. Oxygen sensors can be a sticky job, they're screwed into exhaust and can literally weld themselves in place. Plus in most cases you need special wrench/socket to get around the sensor. (they can be a real pain)

Where is the rear "b2 s2" oxygen sensor located in a Jaguar 2003 xtype 2.5liter car? There are 4 oxygen sensors -- one in the front catalytic converter and one next to it by or in the exhaust manifold and...

Oxygen sensors are always numbered like this:
Bank 1 sensor 1
Bank 2 sensor 1
Bank 1 sensor 2
Bank 2 sensor 2

Some manufacturers use a kind of shorthand that reads different, but means the same thing:
Sensor 1/1 or O2s 1/1
Sensor 2/1 or O2s 2/1
Sensor 1/2 or O2s 1/2
Sensor 2/2 or O2s 2/2

Bank 1 is always the side of the engine where cylinder number 1 is located and, of coarse, Bank 2 is the opposite side.
On a 4 cylinder engine, there is only 1 bank and it is always referred to as Bank 1.

Sensor 1 is always the upstream sensor (The one located BEFORE the catalytic converter)
Sensor 2 is always the downstream sensor (the one that is located AFTER the catalytic converter.

Hope helps (remember to rate this).
