Would a fuel pressure regulator for a 2004 Mazda 3 make it not start?

I would have to say no it shouldn't keep it from starting .Running really bad yes .
If your sure you are getting a good spark ever a weak spark it should start .
I would check all fuel filters first .you should have a main filter in the fuel line between the pump and the engine likely under the vehicle in the main line .
Find out from the dealer or a manual how much fuel the fuel pump is supposed to deliver liters per min or gal. remove the front line hold a plastic bottle over the filter turn the key to run not start see how much fuel you get in 30 seconds .Then double it to figure out how much fuel is past the filter .We know the pump is good .
This will tell you a lot and won't cost anything but your time .

What makes voltage light and fuel light come on and stay on. On my 1995 mazda 929

Hi,if you are talking about the red light for the alternater is on then it means that the car is not charging, and the fuel light is to do with the sender unit in the fuel tank.
to see if the alternater is working ok you need to put a mullty metre on the battery and see what the voltidge is,get some one to press the frotal pedal you should see the reading jump up from 12v to about 14v approx,if the valtidge drops bellow 12v or dose not increase then the alternater is falty replace,
then to check that the fuel sender is working find the wires on the fuel tank take off and join together switch on ignition if the fuel diyal dose not go to full then replace the gauge if it dose go to full replace sender.
hope this was some help, all the best.

My Mazda 3 Loses Power and hickups

A clogged fuel filter or a fuel pump going out. Could be a dirty air filter also. When's the last time you had a tune up?

I poured fuel injector in my car... mazda etude 2000 , but now my car doesnt have performance, what could be the problem?

The fuel injector cleaner probably loosened up crude in the fuel system, but it did not clean the system entirely. I recommend you have the fuel filter replaced with a new one ,if it has not been changed already. Then the fuel system may need a few more doses of the fuel system cleaner. If the engine trouble light is on , then take the car to Advance Auto or Auto ZOne to have the car scanned for trouble codes, which will pin point the problem more accurately.

Mazda millenia 2001 fuel line diagram

No idea to be honest ,their is a fuel pump in the tank with a gauze filter on the bottom that much i can tell you but i dont know if their is a inline fuel filter or where it is if one is fitted .The main problem i see on here with american market cars is the fuel ,in the EEC eythenol is limited to 5% but in america it can be as much as 20% and this causes problems as this eythenol is hydroscopic which means it absorbs water vapour out of the air hence fuel filter block ups are more frequent than what i see here in spain .Never have much cause to change a petrol fuel filter here and the odd diesel but only when the customer specificaly asks for it .drain the water out the bottom if any yes but change a filter very rarely.

Mazda bt50 deisel. Sometimes it will start, other times it will not, but will start by pushing or doing a rolling downhill start, would this be the solenoid controlling the fuel flow. Please...

Just had same problem myself. Very expensive one too.
Contaminant appears to have gotten through to the injector tips and damaged the injector nozzles. Was told by mazda it is water in the fuel. Injectors are very expensive an I replaced 4 and all was fine until 1000kms later the same thing happened. Totally ruined our holiday to Cape York in Australia. Mazda say they are now waiting to get new high pressure steel injector pipes from japan? which makes me very curious and now I think the pipes are possibly corroding inside and allowing metal into the injectors. One of my injectors blew a huge hole in the nozzle and I don't think water droplets would cause that? I change my filters quite regular and always check for contamination and never found any water or anything in the filters that would indicate dirty fuel. There is nowhere else it can come from? There is also a fine steel mesh filter inline where the fuel pipe enters the main fuel pump and this would positively stop any contaminate getting thru to the pump and rail, and consequently to the injectors so obviously the pipes appear to be the only other source, I would think deteriorating internally. But once the injectors are damaged there is nothing more to do but replace them and make sure no more contaminant can get to them. I'm not totally sure but mazda say the new injectors have to be tuned using their u-beaut computer system after they are fitted? I also have been told to fit a CAV fuel filter with water trap between the tank and the main fuel filter when I finally get my car back from mazda so I can be sure nothing can ever get through from the tank. Seems strange that all the injector problems seem to occur around the 60,000 - 80,000km mark and always only just out of warranty. I'm still waiting for my $bill. Best of luck.

Replace fuel filter on 2000 mazda protege

A 2001 Mazda Protege (actually, all models from 1999-2003 including the DX, LX, ES, Mazdaspeed, and Protege 5) does not have an inline fuel filter. The only fuel filter it has is a "strainer" or a "screen", which looks like a nylon mesh "sock". This strainer is connected to the fuel pump, located in the gas tank. Although this fuel strainer does not require periodic replacement, it is recommended that it be changed if you are replacing the fuel pump.

Hello, I was just wondering how to change the fuel filter on a 2005 mazda 6 v6?

Mazda Car 2005-06 Repair Guide
Fuel Filter Removal & Installation

The fuel filter on most Mazda cars can be located on a bracket in the left rear of the engine compartment, next to or beneath the brake master cylinder fluid reservoir or as part of the fuel pump assembly.

The filter on Mazda3 models is part of the fuel pump assembly.
The fuel filter is part of the pump assembly. Once the fuel pump is removed, remove the filter retainer and filter. refer to the fuel pump procedure or removal and installation.

Hope helps with this (remember rated this help) Good luck.
