Take the hole bumper off. Then you will see every thing! its easy after that. Its not that hard just take time.

Its probably got an electric igniter rather than a coil, either way it sounds like your not getting for in your piston cylinder.

I need a manual for my 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder, if someone can find it. Specifically, I need to know what kind of oil to put in it.

you need to use 10w-30 oil. i recomend valvoline durablend ($20 for a 5qt jug at walmart) or valvoline synpower.
i have most if not all of the service manual for the 2g eclipse on mediafire.com. HERE is the link.
the 97-99EBC and the 97-99electrical should have just about everything.
the 97-99 year models are almost exactly the same as the 95-96. for the most part all the differences are cosmetic (front/rear bumpers, side skirts, rims, headlights, foglights, a/c switch, radio/cd)

95 eclipse MAF bypass?

if you want to get rid of your MAF sensor, you will need to upgrade your engine management. there are a few piggy-back systems like MAP-ECU . you could also go with a stand-alone system like the AEM EMS
