Question about GMC Yukon Denali

1 Answer

I'm trying to replace my burned out sylvania 4114K running light bulb. It's an "odd" fitting connection and I'm worried about breaking the bulb. Is there a trick to it? Pull it straight out, or tilt it to the side first? Thanks for the help

Pull straight out to remove and push straight in the install. They have a self clipping mechanism in the socket which can be pretty stiff sometimes.

Auxbeam led bulbs burning out

Wear gloves when changing the bulbs. Your body oils will cause the bulbs to burn extremely hot and burn out. Check your tail lights. Some vehicle's interior light goes out of stays on when your tail lights malfunction.

Never replaced a headlight on my 1996 saturn sl1 and now I need to. I bought the Sylvania Xtravision 9006 bulbs but the owners manual is no longer with the vehicle and I don't want to break anything...

ask a local mechanic to install for you providing that this high intensity bulb is allowed to be fitted in your country as here in spain they are not allowed unless the headlight has a special code in the number which is the certificate of homoglonation .Well this is spain and they do love the old paperwork ,dont the bulbs fit in from the back with a clip ?¿? most do but some vehicles you need to remove the headlight to fit a new bulb

My left brake tail light doesnt work. It works only when my lights are off, but when my lights are on and I hit the brakes... it doesnt function. Ive taled to the dealership about this and they said I need...

They are right. The bulb has 2 filaments. One for the brake and one for the running light. One of the filaments has burned out. You only need to replace the bulb. The bulbs are inexpensive. It's just a maintainence thing. Not to worry all light bulbs burn out eventually. It's an easy fix.

Replace front turn signal bulbs

odd speed blinker is a message to tell you that a light bulb has burned or is disconnected. All front lights can be replaced from the engine compartment EXCEPT the turn signal :( .Unfortunately you will have to pull the headlight assembly out in order to reach the turn signal bulb. If the light was off since the assembly was replaced, there is a chance that the socket was simply left unplugged.

Drivers side tail light lighting up at night when head lights are on but break light not working on that side. passenger side not lighting up when head lights are on but break light working on that side....

You probably already know this, however the GMC 2002 Yukon Denali uses the Wagner 3157 (or equivalent) dual element bulb. The running light uses one element whereas the brake & blinker share the other element that burns brighter.

Check to ensure the correct bulbs are being used. Then check all wire harness connections. Since the blinkers function, then it sounds like the connections are good.

It really sounds like there is a bulb issue, so check that first, then let us know the results.

Head lamp keeps burning out. replaced head lamp at

You either have a bad ground or the bad electrical connection at the light socket is "simulating" a bad ground. This is putting a high resistance on the bulb and it's taking it's toll by burning out the bulb. I would start with a new socket, and CHECK the ground. If you still have the issue, I would run another complete ground wire and not even worry about checking the ground itself. the Stick
