Question about Pontiac Sunfire
You are close--look at the local grounding point for the light, and remove the connection. Wire brush away any rust, then place some grease on the bare metal and stud. Place a 'star' washer on the stud first, then the terminal, another star washer, and finally, the nut. Tighten firmly, but don't break the stud off. If you measured voltage between the ground wire and nearby bare metal, that confirms the poor connection. Hope this helps!
