    unfortunatelly i have not information for fords telstart but i will give you a tip and hope this help. as you know 1 wire coming from the ignition swtch to feed the coil that's called positive ok if that one has power with the key on then test he negative side of ignition coil wire this way, unplug the ignition coil and then

    hook up you light tester to the positive side of the batterie and then the other end of tester to the negative side of ignition coil wire, at same time have some one cranck the car, then if the tester blinks while you crank the engine that means than the

    coil is bad but if you have not pulse or blink that means you have problems with ignition module or distribuitor goos luck and i hope and this help. i'm a mexican here in usa just trying to help you.

    good luck

I am having two issues with my 2001 Ford Taur, the first is a code of P0715 and the other is P0302. We have replaced spark plugs, fuel filter, oil change and the car still sputters and is very hesitant....

P0302 code is a mifire for cyl #2, Check the ignition coil for the number 2 cylinder.
P0715 Turbine Shaft Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction - With Automatic Transmission
Possible Causes Setting Conditions
* TSS connector is damaged (check pins for damage, and for moisture)
* TSS signal circuit is open, shorted to ground or shorted to voltage
* TSS has failed
* PCM (Powertrain Control Module) has failed

To test the ignition coil for the P0302 code
Turn the ignition OFF
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Disconnect the wiring harness from the ignition coil.
Check for dirt, corrosion or damage on the terminals and repair as necessary. Measure coil primary resistance between ignition coil pin 4 (B+) and pins 1 (coil 2), 2 (coil 3) and 3 (coil 1)Resistance should be 0.3-1.0 ohms. If resistance is out of specifications, replace the coil pack. If resistance is within specifications, proceed to secondary windings testing.
