I had a similar problem. The breather pipe on the fuel tank got loose. You can push it back on. but it usually stays on for a day or two. Try to fasten it, (not much space), or replace the pipe. I noticed that the smell was the strongest, when you fill the tank to the full. There were also drops of fuel in the driveway at home, if I returned home directly from the gas station.

1989 Bronco II smells like gasoline after I drive it. Any idea what is causing that?

If this vehicle has fuel injection which i think it could as cars in europe were fitted with cats from 92 but this is a 89 --but its american and if built to conform with californian regs then it could have a cat and fuel injection .if so check the O2 sensors as one of these faulty will allow the engine to overfuel .in all honesty i would need my head in the engine to know exactly whats wrong

96 acura integra, show code 108 will map sensor make abs light come on, and will this cause a rotten exhaust smell?

MAP stands for manifold absolute pressure. It will not cause your abs to come on. The systems are totally separate. When your abs light is on it only means the abs is turned off, and reg. braking is active.

The rotten smell comes from the cat converter. It is probably time to get a new cat installed and it may take care of the map sensor code. though you can't promise.

Hope this helps

Smell like it is burning lean and it fell like it is going to go dead at the red light

o2 sensors will have to be changed. You should change them when exhaust is warm. Make sure you use an 02 socket only

Stutters when driving under pressure

check the fuel pressure regulator and the injectors, the common problem with this car is the crank sensor, located on the gearbox, behind the engine, did the home tune carryout a computer diagnostic, if not get one done asap, it will save u money and time.
