Diablo2 installation problems

i downloaded diablo2 installation files from a torrent i got frommy friend...
it contains 3 cd images of "INSTALL'',''PLAYDISC'',''CINEMATICS''...
i extracted everything and installed everything onto my comp...and updated with blizzard updater patch...1.11b....i even relaced the game.exe file in the installation files with game.exe that i downloaded from gameburnworld.com... i have done everything that was given in the instructions that came with the diablo2 download images...
i even downloaded a diablo2 keygen and entered a valid cdkey for the installation....everything seems right except that when i try to run it... even with the ''PLAYDISC'' cd image mounted on a virtual cd-rom...a small window says

if you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on
might be lost.
