Question about 1993 Honda Civic 4 Door
I have a 1993 honda civic with a new motor. At first it ran perfect all the way until it was at a half of tank of gas, then it starts actin crazy as much as u push the gas it still only goes around 2 miles per hour, and thats only if you hold lightly on the gas petal, even if you floor it it acts as if ur doin nothing..I had the tank dropped and cleaned out thinking it was bad gas,but as soon as i got it back it was low on gas and started acting the same way,I put gas in it and it ran fine once again until it was a half of tank of gas,Now it does it when ever it feels like it,driving down the freeway its just as if the gas petal doesnt work and goes very slow, but u have to keep pushin softly on the gas petal.its makin me sooo crazy i have tried all the gas cleaners and use the super gas...can anyone help
Try checking the snorkel tube between the air cleaner and the intake. Open the hood, and have a friend try to rev the engine, and watch the tube...my '92's was collapsing and starving the engine, couldn't get more than 3500-4000 rpm. Could also be a fuel pump problem like low pressure or bad line.
