Did you use the correct coded key?

Best plan is to buy a new key. Dealer can supply this if you show VIN and proof of ownership. Pricey, but still the best option, IMHO.

Go to the dealer take proof the car is under you name with the vin no. They will make u a key and it will bw the same as your old one it will start you car

If car will not start the key will need re programming to ecu at dealer work shop

The brake light switch is sticking on, the switch is located under the dash above the brake bedal, replace it.

The key may be warn out which makes the ignition not recognize the key or the steering wheel lock is stopping it so try jiggling the steering wheel while trying to turn the key.

The key may be worn or if this is a copy it may be a bad one. If this is not the case then your ignition switch need replacing. Not just the tumbler but the entire unit because if the steering wheel is not locking the the lock pin is also faulty.

If I'm reading the problem right, the key will will not turn in the ignition cylinder in the steering column, Right? Try to Turn the steering wheel to left & right while turning the key. Some times the steering wheel lock sticks. if that does not work, Possibly depress the brake pedal while turning key. After that, I'm out of ideas.

Error one is unique to the disc being inserted into the player.
According to the service manual, this is the exact statement:

Err 1 appears on the display:
This indicates that the disc is dirty, scratched, damaged, incorrect (as in a "burnt" disc), or has been inserted upside down. Clean the disc or insert it correctly.

Toyota CD players are very sesnitive, and the svc manual specifically mentions not to use anything other than "store-bought" CDs.
