My 2006 Ford explorer parking assist stopped working last year, after I took it for routine servicing. Just yesterday again after servicing, the inner lights have stopped working. The technicians have denied having touched the electrical system and have no solution to the issues

Hi, it could be anything from one of the primary sensors to a slipped timing belt. Can you get it to a parts chain to have it scanned? The trouble code will help us diagnose the problem.

Please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r5932051-check_engine_light_check. These are generic instructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me with model, year and engine info.

2006 ford explorer won't go into park

common issue with the 2006's.

Try pressing harder on the brake as you shift to park. Also try squeezing the shifter button more firmly.

Cant remember the exact issue, but i took mine into Ford dealership and they fixed the issue.

At the wiper motor there is a 'park' switch. This is to make the wipers stop in the proper position. This same motor has been used for years, so check at a wrecker for the parts. ok
