Hello, we had the exact problem early this year, February to be exact. We found out that the transmission was going out and we had to replace it. It cost us $3000.00, but the functionality of the van is still not up to par. My gas gauge don't work, my ABS and TCS lights continued to be on, my blinkers some times work and the break lights connector don't work half of the time.

I sympathize your situation, because we are at the same disposition.

I'm making monthly payments on a 2002 oldmoblie intrigue it wasnt even 24 hours that i took the car into my possension and it had jerked two different times. Once i was drivin g it acted as if it wasnted to stop but than jerked and kept on going. There has also been a few different times when they car turns on than shuts right off. What does that mean ?

Gas gauge works funny

this problem is caused by a defective gas gage sending unit (also called a fuel level sensor), the sending unit is located inside the gas, you must remove the tank from the Van to serive the part.

Re fuel gage.

the fuel tank sending unit is defective in your van, this has nothing to do with the fuel pump going out, this was a 100% incorrect statement by the shop that said this, but do understand that if you pull the fuel tank to repair the defective sender for the gas guage u might as well replace the fuel pump which also is in the fuel tank, they (the pump) are are getting worn out at about the miles you have on this car.

Gas Gauge not working

when the fuel pump was installed the gas tank sending unit was either jammed when put back in the tank, is defective, or the sending unit was no reconnected.
