-   The bearing in the compressor pulley is failing. You'll need a new compressor. Plan for a lot more such as a new accumalator, oriface tube, flush and charge. -   jeffreyclay

-   I just replaced the serpentine belt last year and now it broke, it didn't wear down like the last one just a clean break transverse across the belt. I suspect the A/C compressor or clutch has went out. How do I replace the compressor since I know that the system has no pressure or R-134 left in it. Thanks-   Guest

replace compressor ;remove refrigerant ;accessory belt ;electrical connectors ;suction /discharge refrigerant hose from back of compressor ;bolts from compressor and engine block ;leave bracket attached to compressor
