It's on the end of the fuel rail. Vacuum operated regulator failure usually results in rich condition. You should check pressure to see if your pump is getting the job done. Cannot find the spec on pressure but a new pump for your car delivers 80-100 psi. Let me know if you have more questions.

1997 Ford F-150 4.2 V6 boggs down going up hill and stepping on gas.

Check or replace fuel filter again. You could have had a lot of sediment in your tank. If it ran good for a week, that's where you need to start figuring out what was replaced during that time. If you can, check fuel pressure at schraeder valve on fuel rail.

03 mitsubishi galant stumbles on heavy acceleration and surges real bad what it could it be?

Have you had the engine control system computer scanned for fault codes? If not do that now. Also get a fuel pressure test gauge from an auto parts store and hook it up and monitor the fuel pressure while you are driving, when you accelerate the pressure should go up but never down, if it does you either have a bad fuel pump module, or a clogged filter or a defective fuel pressure regulator (that is least common)

Engine cuts out when i accelorlate past 60

Scan for codes would be the first place to start. It could be just a dirty fuel filter causing the engine to starve for fuel or the pressure regulator. I hope this helps.

Low fuel pressure on neon 2003,have change fuel pump, but pressure is low can start if tank is full

Hi.

Check the fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator. They are part of the same assembly and are located on top of the fuel pump. To replace the regulator # Disconnect fuel supply line at the Filter/Regulator nipple and releas locking spring tab (2 in diag.) on the regulator, then turn counterclockwise and pull out. To test regulator use a gauge like this in fuel lines:Pump Pressure Tester.
Pressure in 2003 should be 58psi (48 in 2001 engines). Pressure will drop of about ten psi when you start engine.

There is also an automatic shut down relay ASR. If problem is the ASR the pressure will go down when the relay cuts off power to pump. Read voltages and see if the problem is electrical first before going for the regulator.

2001 chev suburban 5.3 gas, engine dies after you start it up. It acts like it is starving on fuel. Could it be fuel pump, fuel filter or what?

try reving it after you start, if it still chokes or sputters your right. if not check your battery guage. i'd try changing your filter first because its the cheapest option. you might want to consider flushing lines too. worse case you'll need a fuel pump sending unit.

Tach dies and engine stalls sometimes. i can't press the gas pedal too far or the engine revs and the car slows down but doesn't stall.

Sounds as if it is starving for air or fuel. check the air filter and replace fuel filter. if it still does it check the fuel pressure. if it is low replace the fuel pump

If i slowly increase speed, runs fine. give it

I would consider testing the fuel pump pressure, check all fuel lines under car and unplug the fuel pressure regulator once to see if there is a change when you start it. If there is a check engine light after doing that simply remove your neg battery terminal for a few (IF YOU HAVE THE ANTI-THEFT STEREO IN YOUR CAR MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RESET CODE FOR YOUR RADIO)

I had this before but you said you already changed the fuel filter. It was giving me a code that pointed to the injectors because they were starving for fuel. After changing the filter it worked. Your problem must be in fuel delivery somewhere.

Low fuel pressure

U 1st need to test fuel pressure at the fuel pressure test port on the top of the engione in the fuel supply rail to the injector tops, it looks like a metal tire vale stem, u will need to buy a special fuel pressure tester to do this test. U should have around 55-60 PSI at idle, it should go up when u gun the engine but never go down, if it goes down the fuel filter or pump are suspect.
