What are the meaning of the codes on my diagnostic unit for my ford Freestar?

U1059 - SCP (J1850) Invalid or Missing Data for Transmission / Transaxle / PRNDL
U1027 - SCP (J1850) Invalid or Missing Data for Engine RPM
U1009 - SCP (J1850) Invalid or Missing Data for Engine Torque
These are communication codes from one computer to another. I would have to see it on a scanner. But, since your transmission computer and engine computer are in the same housing, it is most likely an internal problem.

First is year make and model. A U code is data communication codes. Sorry to say, you could have done all this and it could have just been a bad wire.

I have a 2004 envoy xuv and my service 4wd light came on but I don't have any lights on the switch and it won't change into anything and I don't hear anything trying to engage and lights don't blink

The Automatic Transmission Diagnostic System Check is an organized approach to identify a problem created by an automatic transmission. The Diagnostic System Check - Engine Controls in Engine Controls - 4.2L or Diagnostic System Check - Engine Controls in Engine Controls - 4.8L, 5.3L and 6.0L is the diagnostic starting point for an automatic transmission complaint. The Diagnostic System Check - Engine Controls in Engine Controls - 4.2L or Diagnostic System Check - Engine Controls in Engine Controls - 4.8L, 5.3L and 6.0L directs you to the next logical step for diagnosing a transmission concern. Perform this check only if there is a driveability complaint or if you have been directed here from another service information section.
Follow the table to help reduce diagnostic time and help prevent unnecessary replacement of good parts.
  1. Install a scan tool.
  2. Important: Check for applicable service bulletins before proceeding with this test. Perform this test only if there is a driveability complaint or if you have been directed to this table from another section in the service information.
Important: Do not turn the ignition OFF when performing this diagnostic procedure. Do not clear the DTCs unless instructed by this diagnostic procedure.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Does the scan tool turn ON?
Go to Step 2
Go to Diagnostic Starting Point - Data Link Communications in Data Link Communications

Is the MIL ON?
Go to Step 3
Go to Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Inoperative in Engine Controls - 4.2L or Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Inoperative in Engine Controls - 4.8L, 5.3L and 6.0L

Attempt to establish communication with the PCM controller module or modules.
Does the scan tool communicate with the PCM control module or modules?
Go to Step 4
Go to Diagnostic Starting Point - Data Link Communications in Data Link Communications

Important: Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), engine performance, and transmission default actions can greatly affect the transmission performance. Ensure that these items are not the cause of a transmission concern.
Use the scan tool Capture Info function in order to save or capture (Store Info) any DTC Information.
Are there any DTCs present?
Go to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List/Type
Go to Symptoms - Automatic Transmission
Your best bet is take to transmission repair shop or the dealer

I have a 2006 mazda 5 it has the code uo101do you know where the brake on the wire could be

Are you having any problems with the vehicle or warning lights coming on or is this just a code that was pulled up with an OBD2 scan tool. The U code is simply indicating that the engine computer lost communication with the transmission computer for some unknown reason. These codes are set all of the time for varying reasons between the engine, transmission, body, antilock brakes or other modules. Since all of the computers or modules communicate with each other on the same two set of twisted CAN or Computer Area Network Wires it is not uncommon for one module to not get an immediate response from another module and that module or computer sets a code for no response. The technology is just not there yet to get all of the computers on a car to communicate in a timely manner and get each computer to recognize that fault.

2002 cavalier slams hitting in 2nd and 3rd gears. Replaced tranny x2 and same issue. Suspect computer issue. Any advice. Have only sm. Computer machine and it shoots u 2000 code .help please. Out lots of...

Sounds to me that you have lack of communication between the PCM and tcm. Generally any U codes are loss of communication on the vehicle LAN (Local Area Network) when this happens, the TCM
(Transmission Control Module) generally goes into limp mode which raises line pressure to max and creates hash shifting. Now the only question is, does the transmission feel like it's trying to pull out in 2nd? When a transmission goes into limp mode, it defaults to second or sometimes 3rd gear. If this is your problem, then you need to find the LAN wire(s) that are down. First step is getting wiring diagrams of the high speed and low speed LAN. Then you need a diagram which shows a map of the direction of travel of the LAN. Then you unplug module by module and back probe and try to see when and if different modules knock out as unplugged This is not a easy feat. This type of diagnostics is generally performed by highly skilled techs.

What is a p0600 code on a 2003 jetta?

Code PO600 means that your transmission control module, TCM is not communicating with the your main electronic control unit, ECU or computer as some call it. This communication controls when the transmission shifts depending on the amount of acceleration you are applying. You need to seek professional help from a transmission expert.
