Question about 2001 Daewoo Leganza

Daewoo laganza cdx auto gearbox problem

I own a 2001 daewoo laganza cdx automatic. On the way to work this morning, without warning the car would not change down out of third when pulling up until it nearly stalled. Then when pulling away seems to miss second! If I drive it as a manual it runs fine, the transmission oil level is fine and the car has been regularly serviced with the oil and filter change at recommended intervals. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Check hydraulic fluid level with engine running hot, lever at "P" position and car horizontal. Level must be between marks.

I have a 2001 daewoo laganza that has a cylinder 3 missfire. I have changed the plugs and wires, but the car still gets horrible gas mileage and is still missfiring. Car runs like **** up until I get it to...

My 2001 Daewoo Laganza also showed this problem. It turned out that my valve cover gasket was
not seated properly and oil was accumulating around the spark plug of the #3 cylinder. Replaced gasket and engine started running fine.

Daewoo Laganza 2002 CDX wont start

I've had a bit to do with that kind of vehicle, Daewoo 16v 2.0/2.2 GMH engine, a friend bought a 98 Leganza which blew it's engine a few years later, but cannot guess that particular fault without examination. I would recommend joining the Daewoo owner's website, it was very helpful to me when I was working on his. Bad news is, personally I don't think much of those engines, they have a number of issues, including a peculiar intermittent oil starvation problem which can develop in the sump, which was what killed his engine.

BATTERY WENT DEAD,WHEN CHARGED THE RADIO WONT PLAY AND ANTENAE DID NOT GO UP..THREE LETTERS CAME UP ON RADIO FORGOT TO MENTION 2001 DAWOO LAGANZA CDX

Check your paper work for an Area Frequency Code and 4 digit security code.

If your radio says "COdE" use the "preset buttons" as "numbers" and put the security code in, one number at a time. If it is the right number it will flash 3 times. If not try again.

Locating camshaft positioning sensor on 2000 Daewoo Laganza

hi,
it is under the upper timing belt cover between the camshaft gears. According to the manual touching anything related to timing belt requires removing million parts including right front wheel. I suspect this might be an overkill just to remove upper timing belt cover.

So my advice would be to get it done by some mechanic as u will not be able to do it and may damage other parts also.

Thanks!
Sandy
