I think on those , there is a swich on the steering colum under the dash. A white box with wiring . Not real certain on that. Take the plastic covers off the bottom of the colum and dash, work your key on ond off and see where it is moving. Or get a shop manual. Just trying to help lol. Hope that helps
i would try moving the shifter up farther into park there is a saftey swich that wont let it move if engaged into gear try that if this does not work star small make sure the key isnt bent if none of the above work then llook into a new ignition
If the chip is still in there it should work. try tapping the ignition and see if this will move the key, maybe it's not in the right location to start. If you were using a screwdriver to start it, it could be shoved back to far. you can also try a paperclip to dislodge it
hi, because the key is not been recognised. you will have to switch the ignition ON leve it 3 seconds switch ignition OFF take key out from ignition for 3 seconds replace key in ignition swich ignition ON for key to be recognised with the unit under the steering colomn. if this don't work. you need the key programed. gerry
you may have a problem with the ignition switch
you may have problem with the key
on most cars there is an over-ride swich near the shifter look for a square opening-might be covered- sometimes ignition key will trigger the over-ride so you can move the shifter to neutral. Once in neutral try to start again you may have a problem with a neutral safety switch that is on all cars
check your reverse swich. if the switch doesnt see connection, being out of reverse/in reverse, then the ignition switch will not get supply power. look for swiches/sensors by the shifter and ignition swich for possible faulty switch/sensor. hope this helps
