Location of what is referred to as an ECU in my 1998 honda accord ex v6

Hi, you cannot diasble the immobilizer by removing a chip. What you have to do is trick the ecu into believing you are using the correct key. There are bypass systems on the market for this purpose. Just make sure you get the right one for your car.

How do i replace ECU/ECM on 1996 toyota celica?

if it is just the fuel problem with the ecu, replace the chip in side the ecu from the new one you got as then you dont need to re program it then. the fuel chip and control is inside the ecu. you used to be able to get the chips for them and program the codes onto them. should be clip in type chips. if its soldered type as there are 2 types of ecu boards with same part number. you will need to un solder the chip.

The 1999-2000 Model Honda Civic uses an OBD2B connector for the ecu. I am changing my ecu to a programmable OBD1 PO6 or P28 ecu. Therefore i would need a jumper harness from OBD2B to OBD1. I already have...

The reason you can't find the connector you want = it's illegal to replace the OBD2 PCM with a OBD1 controller for any vehicle registered for the street. This is a felony on the Federal level and also several States. If you are only using the car for the track, it's ok. You may try a raceing supplier like Summit, etc. to find one.

You would be best to get one from the wreckers that works. Should be a lot of 1997 honda's there and maybe other years will fit it. They would let you know.

Why wont my 91 dodge stealth have fire

Given the history of this product (early 1990 Mitsubishi products) I expect it is the engine ECU, located behind the radio. You'll need to remove the two pieces of carpet trim/panel off of the tunnel, pop off the plastic caps (one on each side) and remove the phillips head screw. The trim now loose will in-hook from a point near the fire-wall and then back by the shifter. Looking behind the dash in the middle the ECU will sit vertically and the (3) yellow electrical plugs within it, unplug these and remove the three bolts/screws holding it in place (if my memeory serves they are No. 10 metric) Note the MD number on the ECU this is important as you must keep this common with the replacement. The death of these ECUs are the (3) capaciors within them. If you like you can open up the ECU and look for these; under them you might notice a thick grease like substance, this is the failure of a leaking capacitor. It is possible for you to replace these capacitors (must be done with care) If you purchase a rebuilt unit the
new capacitors are of better quality and less prone to leaking.

The attached link should assist.

I hope this may have assisted you,
