How do you install aftermarket tachometer on 1993 honda civic hatchback

My car dont have coil where you used to get signal to run tachometer.
signal wire: here is where it can get complicated. most tachometers are hooked to the negative side of the ignition coil. But my cars dont have coil or computer. For this i will need to run the wires to the engine compartment more than likely, but where to get the signal from?

I figured it out yesterday sorry i didnt write back where the cluster plugs in the wires there must be spliced as we have no rpm guages to our clustre it is set up through it which is why we are now rethinking , a civic si has the same model cluster with rpm guages and a bunch of extras and is probably actually easier to install than the rpm guage go to a hondatoy junk yard and see which si cluster fits for your civic

My service engine light comes on after I have been driving for 20 or 30 minutes goes through cycle again after stopping and turn key off 93 Honda civic hatchback DX

If the car shuts down after the service engine lights on, possible problem is the igniter on your ignition coil. You have to replace the igniter. I had the same problem before with my esi 93 and honda car shop fixed it by replacing the said part. It is better to have the code scanned first. If it gives you 1 long flash followed by 5 short flashes, definitely it is the igniter.

I can install my new cd player in my 1993 honda civic because thay have two diffrent colored wirings

If you are talking about an aftermarket deck, go to a stereo shop and buy the wiring adapter. Follow the easy to use directions and it turns into a very easy wiring job. I've installed several stereos over the last few years and the adapters are the only way to go.

Relays buzz when they are not getting enough power either due to a power wire with a high resistance in it or a ground with the same problem, check the harness manually to see if you can find a loose or corroded conecter or ground point.

98 civic lx where is ignition coil?? ++

IT'S A BLUE WIRE ON THE BACK OF THE CONNECTOR THAT WOULD NORMALLY GO TO THE FACTORY TACHOMETER IN THE DASH. YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE DASH GAUGE CLUSTER TO GET AT THE CONNECTOR. THE CONNECTOR WILL NOT BE PLUGGED INTO ANYTHING IF YOU DON'T HAVE A FACTORY TACHOMETER (DX, CX, HX ETC...YOU WILL HAVE TO SPLICE INTO OR CUT THE BLUE WIRE FROM THE PLUG. IT GOES TO TACH SIGNAL WIRE ON YOUR NEW TACH.
