Power steering fluid is leaking

This can be caused by a damaged hose, or seals at the power steering pump or steering rack. You would have to visually inspect the vehicle to see where the leak is coming from.

My 2001 celica vvti power steering whins when cold

This could be caused by dirty or over-aged power steering fluid, it's not flowing enough when the engine is cold (so the fluid) lack of enough fluid flowing through power steering pump can cause the power steering pump to start whining. Change the fluid and you should be good. Hope it helps and please don't forget to rate the answer if it was helpful, it helps me, thanks!

the high pressure hose is usually the smaller diameter hose,if they are both the same size look for the hose that is just clamped on instead of bolted on and that would be your low pressure hose, hope this helps

Power steering hose, leaking. How to replace power steering hose.

You will have a leak from the pump, pressure hoses or the rack. You will have to get the system washed down and inspected for the leak, most common problem is the steering rack leaking, this will leak oil onto the exhaust and cause your smoking problem, start her.

Remove the power steering pump pulley.
Place a drain pan under the vehicle. Important: Cap or plug the ends of the power steering hoses to prevent fluid loss.

Sound like the steering rack is bad.The moaning could be the pump working to hard which could cause the fluid to overheat and over flow.Does it over flow when you first start it and it is cold

I have a leak in my Power Steering fluid as well in my 1990 Toyota Celica, how do I identify where the leak is? - It's a fast leak, I filled it up less than 24 hours ago and it's almost completely empty, also when I make turns it makes an odd sound, which I assume is because of the leak... help please!!
