Question about 1995 Cadillac DeVille
I just bought the car and the battery was completely dead. I put a new battery in and now all the electronics come on but it won't start and it doesn't even try to turn. I can hear a click each time I turn the key. Any idea what I should look for? The previous owner said it ran about 5 months ago but he hasn't started it since the last time he parked it. - I just need to get it off his property and for it to drive about 20 miles, then I'm going to put a new engine in it, but no luck so far. I'd really appreciate any advice.
When you hear the click hold the key in that position for about 7 seconds and then go and feel if the batterie cables are hot if they are hot you have either a bad starter or a frozen engine meaning engine is lock, or if they get not hot at all make sure the cables and conectors at batterie are clean and tie and try again if wont start and cables not hot then replace starter
you can also hold the key all the way in and have someone top on starter with small hammer some time this will get it to run if it runs that way then do not shut the car off park it in desired place and replace starter
i hope and you do not consoder this as a inapropiate answer like other people are been doing, because i'm about to quit answering questions
