Question about 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt Coupe

1 Answer

07 Cobalt Power Mirrors

Both mirrors quit working and I am looking for fuse location. I've looked at both fuse panels, under hood and on side of floor console but do not see any of those fuses identified as being for the mirrors. Are they combined on another circuit such as the power locks? The power door locks are going on and off on their own....even when car is turned off and just sitting in driveway. I pulled that fuse until I get that problem figured out. Mirrors had quit before I pulled that fuse out, which was still good. Are the possessed door locks and the mirror problems related?

I ended up taking it in. Turns out something must have been spilled on switchpad/armrest. The doorlock switch was stuck in "engage" position and the mirror switch on same door was burnt out. No shorts in wiring they said. Problem was right as switch. They ordered mirror switch and when I take back in I'm going to ask where the mirrors are fused. There is nothing, that I saw anyway, in the owners manual about such a fuse. I checked both fuse panels. Thanks.

I've never spilled anything on anything in my car and the power mirrors don't work and neither do my power locks is it a fuse or should I take it to the dealership?

I would have a dealership take a look at the wiring. It sounds like it may be shorting out somewhere, possibly inside the door. I am unsure if the door locks and mirror motors are linked, but I would assume it would explain the fuse location in the owners manual.

If you are unable to locate the manual, I can dig mine out of my trunk.

Changed running board light, now all windows, dome lights and power mirrors stopped working.

Sounds like a fuse gone. Look in your manual for locations, but you should have a fuse panel under the hood. Check them with test light or meter. Also, a fuse panel in the truck. If you find a bad fuse, your running boardsmay have caused it. You might be able to disconnect those lights to see if the fuse will then hold.

Trying to find the fuse for the power mirrors/cig.lighter

Subaru is funny about hiding their fuse boxes. Yes, they are sometimes located inside the vehicle behind sliding panels beside the steering column. Check both panels by your feet and under the dash by the steering column.

92 Voyager Grand, no power mirrors and locks dosen't worl

Sometimes there are two fuse boxes. The companies like to mess with you. Usually theres one under the hood and one inside the cab, under the driver's side steering controls, ie: lay on the floor by the pedals and look up, or if you open the door and look at the dash from the side it could be there.

It really does sound like a fuse problem. Have you tried testing the fuse with a multimeter?

Clock and side mirrors

The fuse block is usually under the dashboard, as well as additional fuse box under the hood. Your owners manual would give u that info, if u don't have one, it can be purchased @ Lexus site, don't know how much though. If fuses aren't labeled as u say, just pull them out 1 at a time and check to see which one is burned out. An auto parts store would probably help u locate the fuse box under the dash, (which is where I think the blown fuse is) they want to sell parts, and offer a lot of free services to customers such as testing components, installing wipers etc. good luck countrycurt0

My driver side power seats and side power mirrors don't work!

sounds like a bad fuse, have a look at your manual and see which fuse controls those parts, they are most likely on the same fuse, the fuse box may also say which fuse is for what, If the fuse in the first box doesn't fix it, try a new fuse in the box under the hood, let me know how this goes, you may also have corrosion in a wire but check the fuses first.
