I have a 1995 Toyota Landcruiser and the check engine light is on. No one qualified in the area to check the problem, and the cars run fine. Possible causes ??

Have you put gas in the car just prior to the light coming on? A lot of times the gas cap is not on tight after a fill up and this will trigger a "check engine light".Check the gas cap,clean the seat. If this is the problem the light will go out by itself after cycling the key a few times .If the light stays on you are going to have to get it scanned to find out what is going on.Good luck
