How do you change the rear wiper blade on the 2005 Honda Pilot?
I have the new wiper blade from the dealer. I simply am not sure how to get the old one off. I am worried if I force it off I break something. Any one know how to get these wi[er blades off and the new on on?

Hi at one end of the blade depress the clip and it should slide out when fitting the new one make sure you insert it into the runners evenly also i think u would break the blade before anything else so dont be affraid its the old one anyway
a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

If you go to a replacement place which supplies them(I hate to say Walmart)they should have a computer which tells you the correct size. Also,if you are able to remove the old one,you could bring it in to match up.Most parts stores can look it up though, even call over the phone.Make, model, possible engine size(not usually) and whether it's a hatchback. No brand is better than the other.Avoid the triple blade,I think they are Rain-X as they have been known to burn up the wiper motor due to the added resistance of 3 blades. If they only sell pairs, throw the other in the trunk for back-up.Some are tricky to remove, mine is somewhat though,so if you need help, feel free to comment back and I will get an autolink to your post.
Good luck! Greg
PRESS ON THE TAB AND PUSH THE BLADE ASSEMBLY OUT OF THE HOOK AT THE END TO REMOVE IT.IF STILL HAVE PROBLEMS REMOVING REAR WIPER BLADE.AUTO ZONE OR ADVANCE WILL DO IT FOR YOU FREE WHEN YOU BUY A NEW SET BLADES FROM THEM IF YOU DONT BUY NEW BLADES THEY WILL STILL HELP YOU REPLACE THEM.
You probably already figured this out, but you have to remove the wiper arm completely in order to replace the wiper blade.
The blades are an unusual size (somewhere around 14 1/2") and I believe they are only available from a Nissan dealership. They include printed instructions in the box but just in case, this is from the official Nissan service manual:
Very simple solution, indeed, as expected. RainX wiper blades come with a small device designed to replace the snapping mechanism on the existing wiper blade. Once you get the existing mechanism off (which can be a little testy), you snap the new in place and it fits perfectly. Rear blade just requires a little patience. Once you get it off (which can also be a little testy), the new one snaps in place perfectly. Although I was able to solve my own problem, this is a really nice service that you provide, thanks.
I went to a Honda dealer and bought a replacement wiper blade (rubber part only) for about $6, and the guy in parts came outside and changed it for me. You slip off the rubber blade only from the wiper assembly and then slip in the new blade.
