I am not technical, so sorry about wording. central locking fob has not worked for some months despite new battery.(in fob) Have closed doors manually. Today engine is immoblised. Red light in central console is on and indicators flashing when opening doors, etc. Cannot turn off immobiliser. Taking battery terminals on/off makes no difference. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Chris.

I accedentallly hit the paniuc button on the keypad and now it wont start

Try dis-connecting the battery and alarm fuse and leave unhooked for at least 15 minutes. Re-attach the battery cables and reinsert the fuse to the alarm. Manually open the driver door with the key and turn left and right 2 times. Turn the ignition on but do not try to start the car yet. Turn off and on at least 7 times. Then try to start the car. If this does not work, then you may need to call the dealer about the correct way to reset the alarm system. You could also try removing the battery from the key and then starting the process over. I am not sure this will work but it is worth a shot. Good Luck!

The factory alarm is killing the battery because the alarm is always going off. How do I dis-connect the factory alarm?

Your car is equipped with a shock sensor which is faulty or one of the doors is not being sensed by the alarm.
This is quite technical and unfortunately it is easier for you to see a specialist. If you pull the wrong wires, you could burn the car down (short circuit).

Alarm keeps going off took battery cables off 2 try and let computer reset still goes off

Hi,

Alarm Modules are one of the Common problem in these Models. You could try:
Find the Red / Black wire at the Hood Switch, located above the Fan & connect one end of a piece of wire to the Red / Black wire.
Connect the other end of the piece of wire to Ground (chassis)
This should Dis Arm the Alarm until the wire is removed.

This will only work "if" the Alarm Module is Not Defective.

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Hi..
Is there 2 options to replace the Battery in your vehicle.
If you Don't have the REMOTE CONTROL.

1-- try to locate the VALET Switch. is used to activate and deactivate the Alarm.
Normally is located Near the Fuse box panel Inside of the car.
and some times on Left kick panel.
If you found the switch. Connect the new Battery and go inside of the car Turn the Key to ON position and Push ( Move the lever up or down) of the VALET switch.
Them try to start.

2-- Just With the BATTERY disconnected .
Go inside of the car And turn the Ignition Key to ON position leave it.
Now connect the Battery and the Alrm will NOT activate.
Go inside and try to start.
And Letme know.

I hope this help on your problem.
