Our 2001 mitsubishi montero xls ran hot and blew a head gasket.We just got it back and it rus great but has a little shimey or puttin when we are sitting at a light,as if it is idle to low.Put it in park and it runs smoother. Idle sensor or throttle sensor got damaged from the heat? Not sure...just thinking out loud! Any other suggestions?

Check your oil, do not run the vehicle until you have that repaired or checked. It could mean no oil is flowing through the engine, A sure ticket to a blown motor if not lubricating.
it's not a big job, I would estimate maybe $100. Could be done in 2 hours I figure. I have owned a Mits Mighty max 2.0 for 30 years and that's my best guess. Don't have a shop jerk you around.
