Where is the inertia reset on a 04 cavalier

What seams to be the problem Jessica ? No fuel ? This vehicle has no inertia fuel cut off switch ! I 'm looking at a wiring diagram for this vehicle, there is a fuel pump relay in the under hood fuse / relay box . In the instrument fuse box is a fuse marked F/P-INJ. fuse 15amp.this supply's power to the fuel pump through the fuel pump relay. If you knew how to do it you check for power at the fuel pump relay ! Done head gasket mate put manifolds on now fuel pump diont work no power to pump power at relay starts with blast of fuel no power from compurter to pump

computer doesnt control pump relay on such a old vehicle ,you have a fuse out or old dirty connections on the base of the relay so if all else fails then run a new feed wire to relay depending on which power point on relay has no power ,if its the feed from ignition to operate relay make a new feed from ignition switch and if no power to pump side of relay then run a new feed to this via a fuse .simple to sort out on such an old vehicle

Hi have trouble locating fuel pump relay switch i think it may need new fuel pump but trying the cheapest way first when i turn key it turns over like it wants to start but will not start if u pour fuel...

the fuel pump has 2 fuses 1 in the engine compartment fuse box and 1 in the fuse box inside dash. Also the fuel pump relay is located in the glove box on the passenger side their is 3 relays in there. If you put your hand on the relays and turn the key to the on position you should feel it click and then you will know which one it is. If you do not feel it then this is likely your problem but check the 2 fuses first.

I have 2004 for f150 that will crank but will not start is got new fuel pump new crank sensor

It is usually much more expensive to guess, than to test, on these vehicles, you need access to a good scanner and what the live data readings should be, you can always start with the basics as well, fuel pressure in the rail, spark etc. Did you have a check engine lamp before it would not start?

2000 S10 4.3L Fuel pump stopped working out of the blue. We Put a new Fuel Pump in, new harnes to fuel pump, new fuel filter, new relay, new fuses in IGN C and ECM B fuses. Still the pump will not turn on....

Did you verify that the relay terminals have the appropriate signals to them?

ECM fuse B (20-amp) should provide power at all times to the orange wire of the fuel pump relay. The relay coil receives ground via the black wire, and relay coil gets power from the dark green/white wire. When the relay is closed, you should have battery power on the gray wire.

The relay trigger wire should have power from the dark green/white wire in terminal 1 of the Vehicle Control Module (VCM) connector for the first couple of seconds after they key is turned to run (to prime the system) and when the truck is running. Checking for all the appropriate signals at the relay is where I would start. That is after I checked for diagnostic codes.

Believe the fuel relay is the middle relay out of the three in the left rear of the glove box. Last thing is to hot wire the fuel pump if you can not get it scanned, see if the pump is bad unless your going to have a shop work on changing the fuel pump.
Good luck and hope this helps. keep me posted.

Toyota camry 95' fuel pump won't turn on

I would definately check the fuel pump relay, should be located in power distribution box in your vehicle, you may be able to switch it out with a relay of the same type to see if it turns on the fuel pump, but you may need a new fuel pump if this doesn't fix it. Hope this helps.

Starting problem

there is a fuel pump relay under the hood in the junction box switch out the relay with the heater relay and try and start the vehicle. if it starts you know it was the relay. if it don't check the fuel cut-off switch(it's located in the trunk behind the fabric on the wheel well or under the drivers seat) push the reset button if it was tripped. if none of these is the problem check to make sure the fuse is good as well as the ecm fuse. if all these potential solutions don't pan out then your fuel pump is bad and needs replacing.....please rate this thanks

I JUST GOT A NEW FUEL PUMP PUT IN MY 2003 3.8 LITER IMPALA, AN THE FUEL PUMP ISN'T GETTING THE SIGNAL TO TURN ON

I suggest you check all your fuses and relays.Start with the ones that pertain to the fuel system and the ecm/pcm.The easiest way to check your fuel pump relay is find another relay that is the same and switch them.Make sure that the component that you are switching the relay from works. If this doesnt work for you then you will have to get some electrical diagrams and trace it down with a multimeter.....Also that vehicle should be equipped with a collision switch (inertia switch).Has the vehicle been in an accident? Good Luck.........
