Question about Dodge Durango
On some vans like a caravan, windstar ect. there is a little cap located on the floorboard near the back of the vehicle. you have to pop the hatch to see it. lft the plastic cap to reveal a bolt. take the tire iron/lug wrench and turn this bolt. this lowers the cable that holds the spare under the vehicle. when the tire is low enough you can turn the piece of metal at the end of the cable sideways and feed it thru the center of the rim freeing it from the cable. I had the same issue with my ford windstar minivan. I felt stupid when I finally figured it out. I almost cut the cable!!! i'm sure anything that has the spare underneath the vehicle is simular.
