I have a toyota solara and I can not get the oil cap off is there a trick to it or could there be something wrong?

What type of oil should I use in my 2000 Toyota


it should tell you in your owners manual what type of oil to use also pop your hood and it should tell you on the black cap where you put your oil in the motor what it takes my Toyota Camry takes 5W-30 it is a 1999 so your 2000 probably takes the same if that helps

My clock, interior lights, and remote keeps going out on my 2006 Toyota Solara. I just had a fuse replaced less than a month ago to fix this problem, and now its happening again. What could the problem...


the fuse being blown is a sign of something wrong-just replacing the fuse doesn't fix the reason it blew-you have a short probably in the interior lights-the wiring goes up inside your headliner and may have gotten a wire pinched or rubbed through causing the short-cheers Denny

cool off your engine/ remove the oil pan bolts and remove old silicone or gasket/ clean the pan/ put a new gasket or silicone gasket/ refill fresh oil...

Location of oil filter on 2007 Toyota Solara Convertible


The 3.3 no longer has a "spin-on" filter. The filter is now a "cartridge-type", and is housed in a cricular aluminum housing under the engine.
