Does the key have a chip in it ? I'm not familiar with the car but it sounds like you might be at odds with the anti theft system. Check with the dealer and see what information they have. Good Luck

Ignition switch on dodge dynasty?

I had a similar problem years ago. As long as your dash lights come on, it's likely you can use an external pushbutton switch to run the starter. There are likely just 4 wires on the ignition switch. Power from the battery, and switched to:
accessories
main car stuff (dash lights, ignition, signals, etc)
starter.
splice in wires from battery and starter to new switch, and you're good to go. This worked for years on my old car.

I have a 2000 chevy malibu drove it for a few days then the other day went to start it turned the key no dash lights like the battery or any of the others that usually come on the mileage dont come on...

Did you check all the fuses under the hood? That's where the ignition fuses would be. The same "run" wire to the ignition coils, when the key is in on or run, or the same set of run wires out of the ignition switch both to the dash warning lights and gauges, and to the ignition system on the engine, well they're all the same power source, and more so the computer gets power from the ignition switch being on as exhibited by the check engine light turning on when key is turned to on.
It sounds like the ignition switch is either not getting full power in, or it's not sending power out as it should.
Check your other battery power-do you have headlights? That would be entirely separate from the ignition switch, but it verifies that battery power is getting to the fuse and relay block under the hood. Is the cranking speed normal? not too slow?

Intermittent problem with starting engine cranks just fine but wont kick over

Turn your key forward just enough to see if you fuel pump turn on. You might have to have someone listen for it while you turn the key. Only turn to acc so the dash lights come on sound to me like your not getting any fuel to the motor.

My car is losing power, and the fuel pump wont come on. it wont turn over. i replaced the ignition lock. what else could it be besides the alternator or my starter?

you are too vague in your questions, and I need answers in order to help you. . is the car totally dead? is the battery good? do the headlights work? what hapens when you turn the key on. the lights on the dash should light up, the ck engine light should lite up. you should hear the fuel pump come on for 2 seconds and then shut off. if the ck eng light does not come on, ck all fuses and the ecm relay. if you dont here the fuel pump come on, ck all fuses and the fuel pump inertia switch. you need to start somewhere. dont replace any parts until testing reveals them bad, or your going to spend a lot of money on parts you dont need. if you dont know how to test, fiind a good shop to take your car to. it will cost less than guessing and replacing parts.

CHECK THE DASH FUSE.IF ALL IS GOOD.YOU GOT A LOOSE GROUND WIRE OR A FAULTY DASH.BUT YOUR CAR STALLING COULD BE FUEL PROBLEMS.CHANGE FUEL FILTER AND CHECK FUEL PRESSURE.IT SHOULD BE 49 PSI.MAKE SURE YOU HEAR FUEL PUMP RUNNING WHEN YOU TURN ON IGNITION SWITCH.IF NOT.CHECK FUSE AND RELAY.IF THEY BOTH ARE OK.FUEL PUMP IS FAULTY.

No fuel getting to throttle body / installed new fuel pump and filter / gas is in line but will not come out when turned over

are you geting power to the fuel pump?? On some vehicles the electric fuel pump primes when the ignition is switched on to acc (i.e when all the dash lights come on etc) and on other vehicles the fuel pump doesnt start untill you turn the ignition over to the "start" position. Id check the fuel pump was acutally getting power and go from there

Dodge Charger Interior lights quit working

check your fuse box, unlikely all bulbs went.
could also be wiring problem. tedious job to check this.
get the thing in to neutral , switch contact and get to the wiring checking for ground en positive voltage. Some very old car type had this problem with one broken lightbulb only. But have not seen this since 1978. I suggest a connector is loose or cable broke.
But I had an old Austin Allegro once who had several bulbs run out of live.
