The radiator Petcock is located on the Driver-side of the radiator at the bottom, if you remove the splash guard you should be able to see it.

Where is the thermast for a 91 mercury tracer 4 door cant find the thermastat in the car to change it .

Find the radiator hose that is attached to the front of the engine, under the housing the hose is attached to the tstat is located. Make sure you get the right temp tstat and a new gasket for the housing. Drain the radiator fully before you start the job or U will have antifreeze all over the place.

have you tried anything to fix it. if not your first checks would be look for any obvious leaks to see if you can find a loss somewhere. then check radiator cap , thermostat, hoses, if that doesnt help reply back for next step

Finding the thermostat on a 95 mercury tracer

Find the lower radiator hose - the big one attached to the bottom of the radiator. Follow that back to the engine. It'll attach to a housing of sorts, and the thermostat is inside that housing.

My 1994 Tracer is overheating, I have changed the thermostate. The radiator had a couple leaks so I plugged them and now there are no leaks. I think the water pump is still pumping and I get an check...

you may have to flush your system out. just take and loosen the nut on the bottom of the radiator. get all of the radiator fluid into a container. then connect a water hose to the top of the radiator. with the drain plug still out, turn the hose on and the car on and flush the system. there may be rust or something else clogging the system. if not hat then check your hoses to see if they are collapsing. you may need to replace them
