1989 chevy hearter coral needs holes..how to repair?

In the engine bay on the passenger side against the firewall. Follow that which should lead to 2 nipple fittings or 2 tubes where the hoses connect to the engine. Replace the hoses when you replace the heater core. If you try to replace the hoses later, you may break the fittings at the heater core because they have minimal flexibility.**Please rate me on this answer**

Runs hot and hearter not blowing hot air

a heater uses the temperature of the cars water, running threw a heat exchanger if the heater core has failed water will not circulate threw the engine properly this will and can cause over heating as well as nothing blowing from the heater. good luck.heater cores are generally inexpensive parts to replace.

last thing you can check if heater core is ok. is the thermostat.

Changing the heater core ?

The Chilton's book will show you step by step instructions. It's a good thing to have when the next problem comes up, too.

Cold air all the time

Hello;
Have you changed your thermostat? I test all thermostats to make sure they work before I install them. Also back flush the hearter core. Disconnect the heater hoses and flush the core. I see a lot of these clogged. Hope this helps.
Thanks;

dose'nt matter long as you make sure they are exactly the same but if you are going to go through the pain of changing it you should put a new one in unless you would like to do it again.
