1989 Ford Econoline 150 Van will not start

Most all vehicles have main power cable to starter solenoid which is mounted on the starter where the power cable to the switch connects OR there is a separate heavy gauge red wire connected to the positive post of the battery that leads to the ignition switch. Also check your ground cable by connecting battery jumper cable to negative post on battery and other end to metal frame of van.

How to remove oil pan from 1995 Ford E-150 van

all you should have to do is drain the oil and take out the bolts, i think there is like 16 bolts. there may be a cross member bar going across the oil pan, if there is then i would suggest taking in to a mechanic, because the engine may be mounted to it and it has to be removed to get it out

Loss of steering

Obviously in both cases some part of the steering linkage broke off (steering shaft, pitman arm, idler arm, tie rod or tie rod end... etc... Could be a number of things, depending on the location of the broken part) In the second case (still had steering for 2 days), that was just a streak of luck and the broken part stayed in place just enough one way or another for a few more days.

Freeze plugs ford econoline 150

The freeze plugs can be fixed with the engine in the veicle. There are some rubber plugs available that have a bolt thru the middle. Pry out failed plug, push in rubber replacement, tighten bolt to expand rubber. Fixed.
