Why does my 1986 volvo 240 chug with low power in the morning?

sounds like the mixture is not correct for a cold engine operation
choke still on to far or not on at all or ECM is not adjusting mixture for engine temp conditions
run fault codes if ECM operated or check choke if carby

Hi there, My 2003 Mazda MPV van is chugging while running.... there is always gas in it.... what could be the problem?

When was last tune up??? Plugs, wires, All fluids & filters especially fuel filter??? I'd start there and run a good fuel system cleaner through it.

2002 Saturn Vue automatic. upon acceleration it makes really bad sounds like a sewing machine "chug-a-chug-a-chug-a-chug" and very fast. It seems to lack power when accelerating. When the vehicle is up...

I had a similiar problem and actually my gear changer in the car was getting hard to move and eventaully stuck.turns out the gear changer was only moving the gears part way and created a wierd sound.Anyway my mechanic found a new gear changing mechanism and installed it .Since then no problems---thank God.

Hi there. When LPG is used to fuel internal combustion engines. It is often referred to as autogas. More recently, it has also been used in diesel engines. Its advantage is that it is non-toxic, non-corrosive and free of tetraethyl lead or any additives and has a high octane rating of 108 RON. It burns cleaner than petrol or diesel and is especially free of the particuales from the latter. It sounds like the best option for your vehicle since gas prices are higher than ever, but there are two downsides. Firstly it has a lower energy density than either petrol or diesel, so the equivalent fuel consumption is higher, but since many governments impose less tax, it is still usually more cost effective. Secondly, some designs of internal combustion engine require the lubrication of petrol or diesel with lead or lead substitute, and LPG's lack, thereof, can damage valves or shorten their life. Engines designed for unleaded fuel, equipped with hardened valve seats, are suitable for use with LPG without added upper cylinder lubrication, so if you did not do this with your valves, this might be your problem.
