Question about 2003 Toyota Camry
Do any of the doors trigger the light when you have the switch set to 'door'?....If not then check the fuse in the box under the bonnet (hood) marked dome on the directory....If that fails check to see if power is going to the fuse....Another reason they will fail to work is contamination on the door switches....Remove one at a time....To do that lift the rubber cover carefully so as not to damage them and then remove the machine screw and carefully remove the switch, take a short length of electrical cable and wind it around the cable going to the switch where you can make good contact and then ground the attached cable to see if the dome light comes on....The power supply is direct to the light and the ground is what is switched....I presume that the dome comes on when the switch is selected....If not take off the lens and then remove the lamp unit retaining machine screws and check power is going to it....Once that is confirmed try the switch as it may be defective....If that is the problem, replace it....The circuit is very simple and cannot be a large problem....Best regards Johngee10
