Hi, if the suburban is 1996, or newer, you will have 4 O2 sensors. The sensor mounted before the catalytic converter, is sensor 1, and the sensor after the cat, sensor 2. These can also be referred to as pre, or post. The driver, or left side of the engine, is bank 1, as the passenger, or right hand is bank 2. years prior to this, use 1 O2 sensor. Good luck...Coop

How do you remove bank 1 sensor 2 on 2004 chevy suburban

Follow the driver side exhaust pipe from the manifold back to the second CAT. After the second CAT is the #2 oxygen sensor. A 7/8 wrench and a tap with a hammer on the side of the wrench should get it out. After all that work, never put an old sensor back in.

Looking for a picture of the 02 sensor on a impala they told me it was bank one

It's not that simple...
you may have anywhere from two to four Oxygen sensors. Bank one on a chevy is drivers side on a rear wheel drive, and front on a front wheel drive. (Bank is basically a cylinder head, so a four cylinder has only one bank, a v-6 or v-8 have two) The exhaust will flow from the head to the tail pipe, so the 1st 0xy is bank one sensor one and usually controls fuel mixture. The next down stream oxy for the same exhaust pipe (Before the banks join) will be bank one sensor two, that is normally after a catalytic conveter, that reads if the emmisions were cleaned up by the cat. The other bank will be the same idea, unless both exhausts meet before a cat.

1999 Chevy Suburban 1500 stuck in 4 wheel drive.

Check the wire harness on the transfer case to make sure it's still plugged in. Check the selector switch in the dash. Check the hub sensor wire harnesses on the front wheels.
Check for error codes through OBD-II connector under the dash.
Good luck.
