You'll need to take it to someone with a scan tool and have a fault diagnosis run....The sooner the better or you may get stuck somewhere....Regards Johngee10

Check engine light on

you would need to take it in for a diagnostic check. it could be as simple as not putting the gas cap on correctly, to having a damaged/worn catalytic converter. only a diagnostic tool would be able to detect what the problem is.

OXYGEN SENSORS REPLACED, ENGINE LIGHT STILL ON

Check Light & Codes for What?

You look up the codes, diagnose the system
the codes point to

I don't know what codes you had or why the O2
Sensors were replaced

Codes don't tell you to replace anything

Have you not gone to a repair shop to have
whatever the problems are properly solved?

Intermittent starting problem

I don't know why you even ask a question, until
you get the codes & diagnose the check light issues

Surely you have a check light on all your vehicles
once a year, as most people do.

Any time you get a check light, things stop

You stop using the vehicle & at least get
the codes & diagnose the problem
Then you can decide if it is safe or wise to use
until repaired

If not for the check lights,I would say you don't
have fuel pressure when you turn the key on
Check that with a gauge on the engine

I have a2005 Altima my check engine light went on and all they told me at the shop was that that the alternator had to be replaced. Would that get rid of the check engine light??

I don't know if you should go out and buy an alternater because your light came on and the shop say do it. What other problems have you been having with your car?

Brakes go all the way to the floor

Don't know about the check engine light, but if brakes go all the way down, you either have a bad leak or the master cylinder has gone bad.
If the car has anti-lock brakes,it needs a mechanic to do the bleeding of the brakes the correct way. don-ohio (:^)

I have a problem with the focus next to the "check engine"... i dont know wich name is or how to explain that...but its like a low battery but it isnt because it is not...the focus its between...

There are only so many warning lights it could be. If it's not the battery or Check Engine itself it could be the Overheat sign if you don't have a temp gauge, Low Oil Light or ABS or Brake Light. If it's the ABS or brake light that is indicating a problem in your brake system or the Hand Brake is stuck. based on the location between the Check Engine and Battery lights my first thought is it is Low Engine Oil or Traction Control, commonly shown by a TC in a circle. Check your engine oil, Radiator fluid level and make sure you don't have the Traction Control turned off. I know in my mothers Malibu, which is a 2000, there is a button on the side of the shifter that you press to turn Traction Control and Overdrive off but I always that that was specific to the motor she had installed since it is a V8 that actually cuts to a V6 unless it needs the power of the other 2 cylinders. If you still have a question about that warning light describe what it looks like and I will see if I can identify it better.

Battery replaced and now A/C vents front blowers don't work, only floor blowers work. Lights dim, battery gauge flickers down when truck is idle. Check engine light comes on steady, then goes off...

The exact same thing happened to me... my lights don't flicker but my A/C is having the same exact issues.... if you find out what happened please let me know as well.

Why would my check engine light be on. I have a toyota 4runner

Your vehicle’s computer system has self-testing capability. When the computer senses that there is a problem with some of the components it stores the correspondent trouble code(s) in its memory and lights up the "Check Engine" or "Service Engine Soon" light to tell you that there is a problem and you will need to have the car diagnosed and repaired.
