2005 Chrysler Town & Country. When rear washer is activated, no fluid makes it to the rear window, but a small volume dribbles out of the front washer tubes.

The washer fluid reservoir on this model is shared and is full. The front washer works as designed when washer fluid is requested. The spray is full and strong. When the rear washer is activated, the front washer tubes squirt weakly and no fluid is delivered to the back window.

The windshield washer fluid reservoir on my 2005 Chrysler Town & Country is a shared reservoir that supplies both the front and back windshield washers. It is full and the front washers work as designed. When washer fluid is demanded for the rear window, the front washer jets dribble and nothing makes it to the rear window.

No washer fluid goes to the rear window ever. Whether the front is activated or the back. I can beleive that the rear washer tube may be clogged. If so, where is it and how do you unclog it? Am I looking under the hood or at the rear window?

Hi! Please make sure that the fluid reservoir is not empty. If it is please fill it up, theres a small amount of fluid that dribbles on the front for this may be the last drop of it. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

Does it mean that when you run the front washer, the water comes out from the rear washer tubes? If yes then the tubes may have interchanged their ports at the washer motor. If not then the rear tube needs cleaning as it may have been clogged and forcing water through the front tubes.

OK. If you look under the hood you will find a small plastic bottle that holds the washing fluid and attached to it is a motor that would have a few, two or three rubber tubes jutting out. On careful inspection you would find that one or two tubes go to the front nozzle and one goes to the rear washer. This is the one that may be clogged. Please unplug it and try to blow into it> If you find it too tough, replace it.

Where do you add fluid for rear window washer

I believe that if you add it in the front, it makes it to the back. I have never had to add any to anywhere else and I use it all the time.

Back window washer stopped working but the front still does. Do not see any leakage under the car indicating hose is disconnected or broken (used to happen on my Chevy Venture quite often). What could be...

Likely, the pump/motor for the rear window (which is located under the front washer bottle is not being turned on, or is stuck for whatever reason. Remove the exit hose from the pump and blow through it with LOW pressure air to see if fluid and air exit from the rear washer fitting. Both motors are controlled directly by the Body Control Module (another computer besides the PCM) and are not fused individually. Each motor receives 12 volt power to it when commanded to run. Hope this helps!

Describe your 2005 Chrysler Town & Country Problem HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO CHANGE FRONT CRANK SEAL?

it's not too bad to change, you will need a special tool to remove the crank pully, it looks like a 3 jaw puller and once you get that off the seal is right behind it. Make sure to clean the crank pully shaft that goes through the seal with a piece of emery cloth to prevent leakage and coat it with either transmission assembly lube or a small amount of motor oil to prevent a dry start that can damage the seal again
