Gonna be in the relay switch. Change it out or simply re wire the fan to work when you switch the car on

2003 grand marquis gs blower switch is a 4 speed. the first two LOW, and next position are not working. Is the switch module or the fan motor in the engine compartment?

There are resisters that controle the fan speed located in the plenum (its the air movement that cools them). They can be checked and changed out simply by opening the hood and locating the AC evaporatot housing on the firewall (passengers side).

there is not a relay per se, but there is a control module. trace the wires from the fan motor to the control module.

Will not start when egine is hot on a hot day. Once egine cools down the car will start. Problem dose not seem to occure during the winter months. Car was serviced at dealership where it was purchased but...

You may either have a weak battery or the starter going out. Do a load test on the battery when it is hot.
Heat causes higher ressistance in all electrical circiuts the engine heat may be causing just enough for the battery to fail.
