Replace the distributor, it is shorting the coil and also make sure the wiring to dist is not melted or fused to another wire, this problem is due to a bad control unit inside dist, replace it as a whole and this should solve your problem.

A.c. unit not blowing cold air

If it is not blowing much air at all... the coil is most likely froze up. Turn the unit off for several hours and clean/replace the filter.
If your up to it... you can run the heater for 20-30 minutes too speed up the defrosting. As the coil builds up frost it also blocks the airflow.

Miss fire

For a misfire...
Check or replace spark plugs...least expensive.
Check or replace wires if needed.
After that, maybe a coil pack.

Hope this helps...

#4 ignition is not firing

I have a 1997 Rodeo with the 3.2L engine. When I experienced a similar problem, I took the coil pack off the #4 cylinder and exchanged it with the #2 cylinder. The misfire moved to the #2 cylinder which proved the coil pack was bad. I bought a replacement coil pack from a junk yard and corrected the problem.

Expect to pay over $150 for a brand new one if you also have to replace one.

Best regards,
Steve
